NBA Announces Cancellation of Games

Submitted by on October 29, 2011 – 11:40 pmNo Comment |

Earlier this evening, the league announced the cancellation of all of the remaining regular season games in the month of November.

Despite extensive efforts, the NBA has not reached a new collective bargaining agreement with the players’ union. Given the date, it is no longer possible to play games in November as scheduled and therefore games through November 30 will not be played.

All of the NBA’s efforts in this process are in the best interests of the game-to ensure better competition, league stability and the long-term growth of our game. We truly appreciate your patience and continued support of the Atlanta Hawks throughout the bargaining process.

We’ll be sure to keep you informed and aware of any related developments as information becomes available.
