Capers Restaurant & Bar in Kennesaw Celebrates 8 Years
By Kathie Beckett
Eight years ago this month, a tiny restaurant named Capers on Main Street opened in downtown Kennesaw. It only seated about 30 people, but Chef/Owner Steven Dudley, along with his wife Veronica and son Zach, had a vision. They wanted to serve really good food in a nice atmosphere. It only took a few months until they realized they were accomplishing that mission.
Fast forward to 2012. Caper’s Restaurant & Bar has expanded to a new facility that can now seat three times as many people. Chef Dudley has developed quite a following with his signature dishes. One of the dishes is the wildly popular shrimp bisqué; it’s become a staple not only at Capers but also at his new restaurant Fish Thyme in Acworth.
In honor of the eighth anniversary, and to thank all of his customers, Chef Dudley is sharing his recipe. It will take a little time to make because it requires a freshly made stock for the Bisqué.
If you don’t have time to make it, just pop over to Caper’s or to their newest restaurant, Fish Thyme in Acworth, and enjoy a cup or a bowl made especially for you. And be sure to congratulate the Dudley family on their 8th anniversary.
