Fireworks July 3-4th over Lake Allatoona and Kennewaw, Georgia

The City of Kennesaw’s traditional pre-Independence Day Salute to America celebration will take place this year on Tuesday, July 3 from 6 to 11 pm downtown.
The event will feature live musical performances on two stages, plus one of the biggest and brightest star-spangled firework displays in North Georgia. Admission is free. A special website, www.kennesawjuly3.com, provides detailed information about the event and invites visitors to vote on the music to be played during the fireworks.

Performers scheduled on the main stage are teen singing sensation Kaylin McClure at 6 pm; a Neil Diamond tribute show featuring the vocal talents of Conner Lorre at 6:30 pm; and the headline act is The Stranger, the world’s most authentic tribute to the legendary Billy Joel, at 8 pm. Family stage performers include the band Revolution, and singer-songwriters Hannah DeLane and Savannah Jade.  The main stage will be located in front of the Depot, 2828 Cherokee St., across the street from the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History. The family stage will be located in a parking lot off Main St. near the pedestrian underpass.

The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:30 pm, and will be visible from several locations throughout downtown Kennesaw.

A wide selection of entrées, cold beverages and delicious snacks will be available for purchase. Attendees can bring food and beverages in picnic baskets or coolers. Barbecue grills will not be allowed. Possession or consumption of any alcoholic beverages is not permitted.

A six-foot rectangular table located in front of the main stage can be reserved for $75. Each table seats six persons. Chairs are included. The number of tables is limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Event sponsors include Jim Tidwell Ford, South 107, Radio Disney AM 590, CW 69 Atlanta, Williamson Brothers Bar-B-Q, DIRECTV Satellite Activations, DISH Network, The Goddard School of Kennesaw/Acworth, FireSide Natural Gas, Taylor Construction, North Cobb Spine & Nerve Institute, i9 Sports, Papa John’s Pizza, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More of Marietta, Atlanta Hawks, Quickie Coupons, Northside News, Verizon Wireless, Marsha Lake for State Court Judge, and Community Magazine.
